箴言31章
“Words of Wisdom from a Godly Women” 31章は、箴言の最後の章になり、レムエルという名の無名の王が書いたとされています。興味深いことに、この箴言はレムエルのものでありながら、レムエルの言葉ではなく、彼の母親の言葉が記されています。 この箴言の特徴は、一人の女性の言葉、教えが記されていることです。歴史の大半は男性が支配してきたものであり、もちろん神の民もそうでありました。そのため、伝統的に女性の声は男性の声よりも価値が低いとされてきました。 このような歴史的事実が、箴言31章を際立たせています。神の知恵のコレクションのクライマックスに、一人の女性の賢明な言葉があるのです。社会的、文化的な規則が女性を劣った存在とみなしていたにもかかわらず、神は箴言の最後の言葉を女性に託されたのです。 1節から9節は、まだ胎内にいる未来の王に母親が語る知恵の言葉です。母親は、基本的に「食べて飲んで騒げ」とは正反対のことを言います。この王の母親はこう教えています。1)女と寝て時間を無駄にするな、2)強い酒は滅びる者のためにとっておけ、3)話せない人の声になれ、4)貧しい人、困っている人の正しい保護者になれ、です。 この箴言の後半部分である10節から31節は、母親から見た良妻の姿が描かれています。しかし、これは単なる女性観にとどまらず、この最後の知恵の言葉には、神の御心にかなった“妻”に対する永遠のデザインが詳細に記されているのです。 極端なフェミニズムは、今日の社会や多くの教会で非常に普及しているイデオロギーで、非聖書的な女性観と、女性に対する歴史的虐待の非聖書的な解決策を説いています。極端なフェミニズムでは、すべての女性は抑圧され、すべての男性は抑圧者と見なされます。しかし、これらの過激派が処方する解決策は、平等ではなく、女性への革命的なパワーシフトです。男女は敵同士ではないのです。 しかし、箴言31章では、男性と女性は対立するものではないことを教えています。男性にも女性にもそれぞれ固有の役割があり、それは対立するものではなく、むしろお互いを補い合うものなのです。神は意図的に、男と女を異なる存在でありながら、互いに補完し合う存在として創造されたのです。 箴言31章10節から31節には、後世のすべての女性に対する神のお墨付きの賢女への助言が記されています。創世記には、神が女性を創造されたのは、人間が一人でいるのは良くないと思われたからだと書かれています（創世記2:18）。そして実際、神の御言葉は、妻とは「彼女の値打ちは真珠よりもはるかに尊い」（箴言 31:10, 新改訳2017）と教えているのです。 父なる神さま、今日も御言葉をありがとうございます。あなたのデザインによって、男性と女性は敵同士ではなく、パートナーであることを教えてくださってありがとうございます。 世間は男性と女性の本質について多くの嘘を教えていますが、あなたは私たちが本当の役割と目的を学ぶために御言葉を与えてくださいました。私たちが自分たちの役割を自覚し、御心に従うことができるように、これからも御霊を通して教えてくださいますようお願いいたします。 あなたは私たちをそれぞれ異なる存在として創られ、それぞれの役割を果たしましたが、私たちは皆、主であるあなた体の一部であることを知っています。 どうか私たちをあなたの霊で満たし続けてください。私たちが名目だけでなく、行動を通してこの地上で本当にあなたの体となれるように、主よ、私たちを導き、あなたの御心に従う心を与えてください。 お父さま、ありがとうございます。父なる神さま、私たちはあなたを愛しています。In Jesus Name we pray, amen. Proverbs 31 is the final collection of proverbs and attributed to an unknown king named Lamuel. Interestingly, this Proverb, although attributed to Lamuel, does not contain his words, but the words of his mother. What really stands out in this Proverb is the fact that it contains the words and the teaching from a woman. Most of history has been a dominated by males and, of course, such was the case of God’s people. Therefore, traditionally, the voices of women carried less value than that of men. These historical facts is what makes Proverbs 31 stand out. At the climax of God’s collection of wisdom are the wise words of a woman. Although society and cultural rules viewed women as lesser beings, God made sure that a woman had the final words in His collection of Proverbs. Verses 1 through 9 are words of wisdom that a mother tells a future king that is still in her womb. Her advise is basically the exact opposite of “eat drink and be merry.” This king’s mother teaches: 1) Don’t waste your time sleeping around with women, 2) Stay sober and save the strong alcohol for those who are in despair, 3) Be the voice for those who cannot speak, and 4) Be the righteous protector of the poor and needy. Verses 10 – 31, the second part of this proverb, describes a mother’s view of a good wife. However, more than just a woman’s view, these final words of wisdom describes in detail God’s timeless design for wives. Extreme feminism, an ideology that is very prevalent today in our society as well as in many churches, preaches an unbiblical view of women as well as an unbiblical solution for the historical mistreatment of women. In extreme feminism, all women are viewed as oppressed and all men are viewed as oppressors. The solution that these extremists prescribe, however, is not equality, but a revolutionary power shift to women. We are not enemies. Proverb 31 teaches that men and women are not at odds with each other. Both men and women have their own unique roles to play that do not conflict, but rather, compliment each other. God intentionally created both man and women to be different, yet complimentary to each other. Proverbs 31:10-31 is a God-endorsed wise woman’s advice to all women for all future generations. In Genesis, we read that God created women because He felt that it was not good for man to be alone (Gen. 2:18). And indeed, God’s Word teaches that a wife: “is far more precious than jewels” (Prov. 31:10). Thank you, Father, for Your Word today. Thank you for showing us that by Your design, men and women are not enemies with each other but are partners. Although the world teaches us many lies about the nature of both men and women, You have provided Your Word for us to learn our true roles and purpose. We ask that you continue to teach us through Your Spirit to be aware of our unique roles and be obedient to Your will. Although you created us to be different and serve unique roles, we know that we are all part of Your same body Lord. Please continue to fill us with your Spirit. Please lead us and give us the hearts to follow Your will Lord so we can truly be your body here on earth not only in name, but also through our actions. Thank You Father. We love you Father.
